India at the WorldSkills Competition
The WorldSkills Competition is the global contest in vocational skills, and its 48th edition takes India's largest and most varied team so far to Shanghai. Team Skill India is entered in 63 of the 64 skills on the programme with a contingent of roughly 70 competitors, eleven of those skills contested by India for the first time. The skills ministry, MSDE, leads the entry and the National Skill Development Corporation runs the preparation with industry and training partners. India's placing at these competitions has moved from 29th in 2015 to 13th in 2024.
