India-Luxembourg Relations
India and Luxembourg have kept diplomatic relations since 1948, and the partnership entered a busy phase in September 2026 when Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel brought his economy minister to New Delhi for a three-day visit. During it he declared Luxembourg's support for a permanent Indian seat on a reformed UN Security Council. Trade, investment and finance remain the core of the ties. Space is the oldest technical pillar, resting on a February 2022 agreement and two Luxembourg satellites already flown on Indian rockets. Both governments are now mapping work in artificial intelligence, quantum technology and life sciences ahead of a state visit proposed for January 2027.
