India's Energy Dialogue with OPEC
The OPEC-India Energy Dialogue is the standing producer-consumer forum between India and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC. It began at New Delhi in 2015 and is now eleven years old. Its seventh High-Level Meeting met in the same city on 22 September 2026, co-chaired by India's Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, and OPEC's Secretary General, Haitham Al Ghais. The two sides took up energy security, steady oil markets and the investment the industry needs, reviewed the outlooks for oil, and agreed that the eighth round will be held in Vienna.
