Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan is the Environment Ministry's yearly ranking of the 130 cities under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP), graded on the clean-air work each city can document. The fifth round's awards on 7 September 2026, at Swachh Vayu Diwas, put Lucknow, Rourkela and Kalinga Nagar first in their population groups, and wards were assessed for the first time.
