Kashi Tamil Sangamam: Tamil Nadu-Kashi Exchange
Kashi Tamil Sangamam (KTS) is a cultural and academic exchange run by the Union Ministry of Education that takes people from Tamil Nadu to Kashi, honouring the long civilisational link between two ancient centres of learning as an expression of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. It is in the news because Education Minister Pralhad Joshi opened registration on 22 October 2026 for the fifth edition, KTS 5.0, scheduled for 28 November to 12 December 2026 on a theme built around the Thirukkural.
