G7 Evian & G20 Johannesburg
Two summits a year apart put India in the room with both the West and the Global South. In November 2025 Johannesburg hosted the first-ever G20 on African soil, where Modi pitched six initiatives built around 'Integral Humanism' and a louder Global South. Seven months later he was an invited partner at the G7's Evian summit in the French Alps - France chairing the G7 in 2026 while India chaired BRICS.
