PM-AJAY: Merged Scheme for Scheduled Castes
PM-AJAY, short for Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana, is the Social Justice Ministry's merged scheme for Scheduled Caste communities, paid for entirely by the Centre. A ministry update released on 16 October 2026 counted 18,093 villages declared Adarsh Gram as on 8 September and 785 student hostels completed.
