PARIVARTAN Scheme
PARIVARTAN is the central scheme that pays to get BS-IV and older trucks and buses off Delhi-NCR roads and put BS-VI, CNG or electric vehicles in their place. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs launched it as a time-bound fleet-modernisation programme aimed at vehicular pollution in the National Capital Region; the Road Transport and Highways ministry implements it and the NCR Planning Board routes the money. The Union Cabinet cleared it on 3 June 2026 at Rs 9,585 crore, and the operating guidelines followed on 16 July 2026.
