Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs)
Krishi Vigyan Kendras work at the district level, carrying scientific knowledge, modern farm technology, improved varieties, skills and enterprise opportunities to farmers and rural communities. In September 2026 the Centre put dates on strengthening them: infrastructure and logistics upgraded at 300 priority centres by March 2027, an incubation-cum-skill centre inside every KVK by December 2028, and a much larger share of the financing and staffing left to the States.
