- India's Medical Devices & MedTech SectorAdded the Technology Development Board's backing for Ceramat Private Limited of Palghar, Maharashtra, which will commercialise bone grafts 3D-printed to an individual patient's anatomy from calcium-phosphate ceramics made in India, by digital light processing and by extrusion. Grafts of this class are mostly imported today, and the release names no amount. The device-rule amendments, the AI in MedTech paper, the Pharma Machtech asks and the Heal in India plan all carry forward.
- India's Foreign Trade - FY 2026-27Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal says the India-US trade agreement is more or less finalised, with a preferential market-access framework still being worked out and signing at an appropriate time - nothing signed yet. Goyal's 3 September drive to get exporters using India's nine trade agreements stands: they reach economies worth about US$ 60 trillion, and outreach is to cover all 780 districts.
- India's Digital Payments Engine (UPI & Beyond)Turned the Global Fintech Fest entry into what actually happened. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the seventh edition in Mumbai on 8 September 2026, called UPI the undisputed champion of the country's fintech rise, and put August 2026 past 24 billion UPI payments - 2,450.9 crore, a fresh monthly peak above July's 2,366 crore. Added the fest's own scoreboard for India's digital public infrastructure: Jan Dhan accounts, Aadhaar enrolments, Aadhaar e-KYC, DigiLocker documents, Direct Benefit Transfers and ONDC.
- Virtual Digital Assets: FIU-IND Registration and PMLA ComplianceFIU-IND has served non-compliance notices on 15 virtual digital asset platforms under Section 13 of the PMLA, and ordered their applications and web addresses taken down under the IT Act. Crypto intermediaries serving Indian users have owed registration and reporting duties since March 2023, whether or not they keep an office in India.
- RBI Regulatory Actions 2026Adds a sixth bank to the Section 35A list. A Lucknow bank - the U.P. Civil Secretariat Primary Co-operative Bank - has been under a Reserve Bank directive since 11 March 2026, and the RBI has now carried that order on for three months more, to the close of business on 11 December 2026. It is new to this card rather than newly directed, so the tally of co-operative banks tracked here goes from five to six; as always, the RBI says an extension is no verdict that the bank's finances are sound.
- India's Automobile SectorRural buyers led August's record month. FADA's report puts registrations outside the cities 19.79 percent above August 2025, against 15.17 percent growth in urban markets, with the national count up 17.51 percent at 24,23,201 vehicles. Alternative-fuel cars still hold 41.95 percent of passenger-vehicle sales against petrol's 40.85 percent.
