- Virtual Digital Assets: FIU-IND Registration and PMLA ComplianceFIU-IND has served non-compliance notices on 15 virtual digital asset platforms under Section 13 of the PMLA, and ordered their applications and web addresses taken down under the IT Act. Crypto intermediaries serving Indian users have owed registration and reporting duties since March 2023, whether or not they keep an office in India.
- RBI Regulatory Actions 2026Adds a sixth bank to the Section 35A list. A Lucknow bank - the U.P. Civil Secretariat Primary Co-operative Bank - has been under a Reserve Bank directive since 11 March 2026, and the RBI has now carried that order on for three months more, to the close of business on 11 December 2026. It is new to this card rather than newly directed, so the tally of co-operative banks tracked here goes from five to six; as always, the RBI says an extension is no verdict that the bank's finances are sound.

FADA's report puts registrations outside the cities 19.79 percent above August 2025, against 15.17 percent growth in urban markets, with the national count up 17.51 percent at 24,23,201 vehicles. Alternative-fuel cars still hold 41.95 percent of passenger-vehicle sales against petrol's 40.85 percent.
