CGTMSE — Credit Guarantees for Small Firms
CGTMSE, the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises, is a trust set up by the Government of India and SIDBI. It guarantees loans that banks and other lenders give micro and small firms without collateral. It is in the news because its cover now reaches invoices discounted on the three TReDS platforms, M1xchange, RXIL and DTX (KredX), delivering a Union Budget 2026-27 announcement.
