Bharat Taxi is the Ministry of Cooperation's answer to commission-charging cab apps: a ride-hailing service its drivers own through the Sahakar Taxi cooperative, with zero commission and no surge. On 23 September 2026 it opened in five Uttar Pradesh cities; six months after going live, over 10 lakh drivers had signed up.
