ASW Shallow Water Craft (Mahe class)

Malvan is the second ship of the Indian Navy's Mahe-class anti-submarine shallow-water craft (ASW-SWC), a compact vessel built to hunt submarines in shallow coastal waters. Constructed at Cochin Shipyard Limited in Kochi and more than 80 percent indigenous, it is due to be commissioned on 22 July 2026 and is presented by the Navy as a marker of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat drive in warship building.
