Additive manufacturing (AM), better known as 3D printing, builds a part by depositing material one thin layer at a time under the control of a digital design file, and the National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing (NSAM) is India's policy framework for growing that industry, released by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in February 2022.
