World Development Report 2026
The World Development Report 2026, titled The Promise of Artificial Intelligence, is the World Bank Group's study of how developing economies can draw development gains from AI, built around an adopt, adapt and advance path. Released globally on 4 August 2026, it was launched in India on 8 October at a New Delhi event organised by MeitY's IndiaAI Mission with the World Bank, where Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw presented it.
