India's Unincorporated Sector Survey (ASUSE)
ASUSE is the National Statistical Office's annual survey of India's unincorporated non-farm businesses - proprietorships, partnerships, cooperatives, societies and trusts outside company law - and the base of the sector's first district-level estimates, released in September 2026 from its 2025 round. It is in the news because MoSPI has proposed that the next round, ASUSE 2027-28, move from the calendar year to the financial year and record for the first time the constraints women entrepreneurs face.
