Snow Leopard Conservation in India
India's snow leopard work is increasingly science-led, and on 26 August 2026 a Ministry of Environment delegation took that record to Moscow for a Russia-India roundtable on studying and conserving the species, where Wildlife Institute of India scientists described how India now counts, tracks and genetically profiles its snow leopards.
