PMAY-Gramin — India's Rural Housing Push
Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) is the Rural Development Ministry's village housing scheme: the Centre and the states fund a pucca house, and the family builds it. It is in the news because on 4 October 2026 Andhra Pradesh received the first instalment for 3 lakh PMAY-G 2.0 houses worth ₹3,600 crore, and work began in Guntur district on India's first pilot housing built by 3D concrete printing.
