NITI Aayog's Manufacturing Hub Report
NITI Aayog's manufacturing study, released on 13 August 2026, works on two levels: it shortlists 12 sectors that could turn India into a manufacturing base for the world, and then assesses four of them in depth — chemicals, textiles, telecom and networking equipment, and solar photovoltaic manufacturing. Assessments of the remaining eight sectors are promised in later editions.
