NFHS-6 - India's Health & Family Snapshot
The sixth National Family Health Survey reads India's health, nutrition and demographic vital signs as they stood in 2023-24. Its national and State/UT fact sheets came out on 29 May 2026 and record steady gains since 2019-21: more than nine in ten babies born in health facilities, childhood stunting sharply down, household health cover past 60%. Parliament has since been told how those fact sheets were designed - trimmed to harmonised key indicators on a committee's advice, with anaemia handed to a separate ICMR survey.
