The National Coastal Mission (NCM) is the Environment Ministry's Central Sector Scheme for conserving India's coasts and seas while growing a Blue Economy, meaning income drawn from ocean and shore. On 30 September 2026 Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav released the guidelines that will run its second phase, NCM 2.0, worth ₹767 crore.
