India's Anti-Doping Law
India's dedicated law against doping in sport is the National Anti-Doping Act, 2022. On 17 July 2026 the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports brought it into force along with its 2025 amendment, putting the country's clean-sport regime on a full statutory footing. The framework aligns India with the World Anti-Doping Code and meets its commitments under UNESCO's International Convention against Doping in Sport, giving legal backing to testing, investigations, intelligence, education and results management while protecting athletes' rights.
